Australian Digital Art Exhibition

In partnership with the National Museum of Australia, and First Nations communities from Maningrida and Gunbalanya in Western Arnhem Land, the Centre will tour an Australian Digital Art Exhibition through Southeast Asia from 2026.

The exhibition will feature large-scale projections, animation and cinematography, against a soundscape of ceremonial music and song. Through large-scale projections and immersive soundscapes, Southeast Asian audiences will gain a unique insight into the world’s oldest continuing culture, as expressed through the perspectives of Australian First Nations artists.

The exhibition will foster meaningful connections between Australian and ASEAN communities and celebrate the rich and diverse culture of Australia’s First Nations Peoples.

In addition to enhancing regional access to Australian art and culture, the exhibition will establish enduring partnerships between Australian and Southeast Asian galleries, art institutions, and cultural centres.
